Well here are two pictures of my first attempt to make a projection tv...
as you can see they aren't very pretty, but that will change!
i just built these to get an idea of how they worked, and to test thi dea simply and quickly.
It is made from coragated plastic (which i took form the TO LET sign outside my house) and is sprayed black with cheap black spray paint from Poundland. Its held together with masking tape.
The next one i make i will use gaffa tape (stronger and black) to hold it togeter, and will probably use cardboard, as i will be easier to cut.
I also think it would be better to glue matt black paper inside, and the black spray paint is quite reflective, and thus the image can look a bit washed out, as to much random light gets thru.
So how much did it cost me???

Stanley Knife... 50p
Fresnel Lens... 4pounds
so a grand total of 5.83!!!
not bad.
I am reall inpressed with the picture, but it needs some refineing to the design. Like a different way of holding the box to the TV!
Also i think the next one will face the ceiling, and use a mirror to point the image to the wall, this way the images will be more correct, and it will take up less room.
